Awesome Moving is a licensed, locally owned moving company based at 1100 W Edgar Rd in Linden, New Jersey. We were founded in 2009 by Gabe Navarro, who grew up in Linden’s Sunnyside neighborhood and spent seven years working crew for a Newark van line before deciding to do it his own way. He wanted a flat-rate local outfit that treated families straight — no lowball phone quotes, no surprise charges at the truck, and no gouging military families during PCS season. More than fifteen years later, that is still exactly how we run.
We are a real moving company — not a broker and not a lead app that hands your job to whoever bids lowest. When you book Awesome Moving, the truck that pulls up to your curb is our truck, and the people who carry your sofa down a Garden State Parkway-adjacent walk-up are our full-time crew. We employ 14 people, including 9 full-time movers, and we never subcontract your move to a stranger off a load board. Our crew chiefs — Tavo, Kai, and Marisol — have been with us for years, and our office manager Brianna handles your scheduling, your certificates of insurance, and your billing from right here in Union County.
Licensed, Bonded, and Insured
Awesome Moving holds a New Jersey DOT intrastate moving license and operates interstate under our own USDOT authority. We are fully bonded and insured, and we carry $1 million in cargo coverage on every single move. If your apartment building or condo association needs a certificate of insurance before move day, Brianna will have it issued and emailed long before our trucks arrive — we handle COIs for buildings across Elizabeth, Rahway, Westfield, and the rest of the county every week.

Local moves start at $149/hour for a two-mover crew with a truck, blankets, and dollies included, and most local jobs can be quoted as a flat rate from $349 so you know the number before you commit. Long-distance moves out of New Jersey start at $2,199 with a binding written quote — no weight games, no “the actual cost came in higher” phone calls after the truck is loaded. You get a clear price, a real crew, and your stuff delivered the way it left.
